It's All For You & Drag Queens

I'm so glad that I didn't sell my Janet Jackson ticket. I had such a great time with Paige, the strangers in my row, and two small plastic cups of vodka lemonade; that I'm convinced the amount that I spent was well worth it.
The concert was everything I knew it would be & then some. Janet was fierce, svelte, and perfect. I loved that the show was non-stop entertainment. When it came time for Janet to make a costume change, the audience was shown clips from here television appearances. I sat next to a man who knew every single line from Janet's first appearance on Good Times as Penny. I thought he was going to stand up and wiggle his hips as Penny said, "It's not the men in my life, it's the life in my men." But I'm thinking that he didn't want to out gay himself any more than he did when he sang every damn word to "If".

However, I do have one thing to say that I did not like about the concert. It was too damn short. She didn't perform all of the songs I just knew she would. I was a little disappointed that I didn't hear "Black Cat", but I quickly got over it.

Now that I think of it, there is one more thing that I didn't like about the JJ concert. I'm too damn short, and the stage at The Chicago Theater is too damn low. I had to jump up and down like a freaking Mexican bean to see Ms. Jackson. I didn't like that at all, but seeing as though Paige is 5'8'' vs. my 5'2'', I"m sure she didn't have not one thing to complain about. She assured me that she had an awesome time, and I'm happy about that.

After the concert, Paige and I ran into a friend of mine. This friend quickly invited us to a Drag show at a favorite spot of mine.
Anyone who knows me personally knows that there is nothing that I love more than a Drag Queen. I would say that I love my family more, but it's only a select few of them that I can tolerate more than a few hours. I can normally stomach more than 48hrs of Queen action, but this night must have been amateur night. After one queen decided in a sober state that it was a good idea to lip sync along to Ernie's ode to his bath time companion "My Rubber Duckie" in a Lacoste bath towel, Paige and I were pretty much done. However Paige was so done that she left me at the bar with my friend and left with another friend to go home. SMH, but I ain't mad...

Janet Jackson and Drag Queens in one night was once like a dream come true for me, but since I've actually had a chance to experience it;  I must say that I never have to do it again.

Part II: Second Best Is Never Enough

Is she for real?

I got a chance to listen to Lady Gaga's Born This Way, and I was highly disappointed. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It is a complete rip off of Madonna's Express Yourself and the theme from Queer Eye For The Straight Guy.

"New gay anthem" my ass:

Am I wrong?

I can't hide my disappointment in Lady Gaga. I thought the girl would have learned her lesson after people first started comparing her to Madonna, but it seems like she really truly wants to be Madonna.

Bitch just don't get it: THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE MADONNA!!!

Epic Fail...

Chicago Lingo 101: Dude is a CHESTER (Allegedly)

When I was in high school there was this security guard (yes my high school was kinda on the rough side) who would abuse his power and go the extra mile with the female students. For some reason he thought it was okay for him, a security guard, to be playful with the female students. He would laugh and joke with them as if it was normal to know the goings on in a teenage girl's life. One day he took his playfulness a little bit too far when he asked one of his teenage playmates what she was doing that night and if she would like to him at The Pioneer Motel. Well I'm guessing the girl didn't want to join him there because she told her parents, the principal, and the dean about his invitation. The man wasn't fired (why I don't know) he was, I guess, demoted to lunch room security.
He was lunch room security during my last two years of high school. I, along with the rest of my high school's female population, referred to him as Chester Molester. We called him that so much that I'm sure the little nickname stayed with him until he was fired late last year for trying to invite a teenage boy to The Pioneer Motel.
I guess if at first you don't succeed you must try try again...
Where the security guard messed up was that he didn't have the backing of "God" to support his actions. I guess only a true man of "God" can get away with something like statutory rape and molestation. A man like Bishop Eddie Long!
For those of you who don't know who the hell Bishop Eddie Long is, he is a man of "God". He is also a man who is currently being accused of abusing his power as a man of "God" to coercing young men into having sex with him. He is also being accused of using the money he receives from patrons of his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church to pay off his victims to keep their mouths shut.
This is also a "Man of God" who took to his pulpit every Sunday and spoke disapproving words on the private acts of homosexuals. It's always the homophobes who always end up doing the gayest shit. Like posing for photos in the bathroom with a camera phone...

I no longer need proof that there is a God, because when his so-called followers do some shady shit He always ends up showing us just how fucked up they really are. I now know that there is a God and he clearly loves the gays; because this shit right here is heaven sent!

Leo as Hoover?

Apparently Clint Eastwood is making a bio-pic about J. Edgar Hoover staring Leonardo DiCaprio as Hoover. According to NewYorkMagazine, the movie will tell the truth about Hoover and showcase his homosexual relationship with "protégé" Clyde Tolson in full detail.

Okay there is no doubt in my mind that Leonardo DiCaprio can pull it off, it's just that him playing J. Edgar Hoover will forever ruin the fantasy that 90s started. I'm not so sure if I'm ready for it even with Clint Eastwood behind the camera.

The role of Tolson is rumored to be played by Joaquin Phoenix.  An actor I love regardless of his latest crazy behavior and talk hair crawling frogs and that beard...

Anyway, since Leo is something like a method actor I sense that he will have to put on some weight to play this dude. It should be fun watching him pork up,  looking like he swallowed a model. And as for Joaquin it should be fun watching him make sense again.

Who knows how this will turn out. I'll turn into an optimist (again) and pray that it turns out great. If not then it was a good try.
