RIP Rich Cronin

I used to love this little song during my crazy TRL days. I used to try to stay home from school and request this song on the TRL Request line. I secretly hoped and prayed that Carson Daly would answer the phone and make my life, but that never happened.

Although I never wore Abercrombie & Fitch and Chinese Food has never made me sick, I still love this song.

RIP Rich...

Happy Belated Birthday Gilda!

June 28, 1946 – May 20, 1989

While I was recovering from my hangover, I totally forgot to say happy birthday to someone I admire most after my mom. Mrs. Gilda Susan Radner Wilder would have been 64 years old today if she hadn't died on May 20, 1989 at the young age of 42.

Gilda Radner was by far my favorite SNL cast member, and my number one funny lady. I remember being a kid and watching the really old episodes of Saturday Night Live and falling in love with her humor. Who doesn't love Roseanne Roseannadanna, the romantic dancing couple, or Litella AKA the "never-mind" lady? Gilda Radner was one of a kind.

R.I.P. Rue McClanahan

The Loyal Legion who frequent this blog knows how much I love The Golden Girls. I wake up and fall asleep watching The Golden Girls. I've done this since I was 13 years old, so the women on that show played an important part of my upbringing; especially when I went through that little awkward phase in high school when I felt alone and they made me laugh. So to hear the news that Rue McClanahan (AKA Blanche Devereaux) passed away today at the age of 76, I couldn't do anything but cry. I'm crying now. And I feel weird since I didn't know this woman or any of The Golden Girls. They were only actors but every time one of them passed I felt as though had I lost a family member. Cliché yes, but thank you for being a friend Ms. McClanahan and may you rest in peace.

It's the end of an era

Originally I felt a little tear in my duct then it crept back in. I decided not to cry for Argentina and the cancelation of the original Law & Order. On May 24, the show's trademark *ching**ching* will no longer sound. So now what? How will it end? After 20 years I'm sure Law & Order's audience has seen just about every single scenario known to man. On its last hurrah I'm just hoping it's ended well. Congrats and farewell!

"Death by Stereo!" RIP Corey Haim

This is really sad news. It seems like every time I decide to read the news, some celebrity is found dead. I was really hoping for a success story for Corey Haim, since he was my favorite of the Coreys. I loved him in The Lost Boys. He was so cute and always has some sort of witty comeback for his brother: So who is she, the Flying Nun? I loved that! Aww man. I'll make sure to keep  his parents and his loved ones in my heart. And let this be a lesson to all of us to just say no to drugs. I hated that I just sounded like a PSA, but it's true. Say no is the best way to survive. RIP Corey.
