How Could I Forget???

All this time I've been whining about how long it's taking season 4 of True Blood to premiere, and I forgot all about the 12th anniversary of the first time I saw The Matrix.

Yes! I'm a dork, and damn proud of it.

If you're reading this and you're a part of my loyal legion, then you should already know about my love of all things Matrix and Keanu. Not only do I love The Matrix, I also love its sequels. I understand all of them, and I can tell you just about every line from all three films. The same goes for my love of Keanu. I've seen just about all of his films. Therefore, I am his stan (slang for huge fan), and if given the choice to only choose one movie to watch for the rest of my life it would be one of his.

As a tribute to this glorious occasion, I will post the link to The Matrix paper I wrote and aced last year.

Yes I'm obsessed, and I don't care who knows it.

Someone plays too much!

I'm really not in the mood to be messed with, especially when I need to be asleep. But someone thought it would be cool to email me about Keanu Reeves starring in not one but two new Matrix sequels.

As soon as I read it I got sick. It's really hard to defend Keanu now, and if this rumor was true then I would have had to put in overtime; and I ain't getting paid for shit.

After doing very little research, I found out that it is in fact NOT TRUE!!!

Thank goodness, that shit would have been embarrassing, but I still would have watched the movies if they were made...just saying.

I know I said that I was going to take on the role of the optimist when it comes to upcoming movie projects, but this would have really been sooooo unnecessary. Neo is dead! Why would he be coming back?

Epic fail...

I'm alone and I love it!

At this very moment in my life, I don't have a list of potentials. Meaning I have no little boys calling me and bugging the shit out of me. I like it. In fact, I love it!
I don't know what it is about me that little boys feel that they can walk all over me and that I'll just sit there and take it. I don't like assholes and once I get a whiff of one I treat them like what they are.
I get the angry responses too, like the last guy told me to get use to having cats for company. When I heard what he said I was a little hurt, but then I realized that someone who can't deal with someone with their own mind would probably knock me across my head a few times. I moved on. Oh well...
I refuse to act dumb to keep a man. I don't care how fine he is. I ain't doing it! I have friends that have gotten so into the dumb role that I'm sure if they're acting anymore. I was told a long time ago to never say never but I know for a fact that that will never be me. Once you change yourself for someone else, you're not the same until you have realized what has happened and recover.
Someone you have to change for is never worth it. It's a constant fight, a fight that I'm not so sure I will ever be able to fight. Once you change one thing about yourself there is always something else wrong with you that the person you are changing for doesn't appreciate, and before you know it you're a puppet. You won't even be able to smile on your own. How can you really live.
I want to be free, and if it means being alone Oh Well! At least it's on my own terms.

I recommend:

Betrayed by Mom!

How could she do such a thing? She knows that I love everything Keanu, yet she didn't wake me when she saw that My Own Private Idaho was on. Instead what did she do? She sat up and watched the entire movie while I stayed in slumber. I don't know how I could ever trust her again. I need time to heal...

Off To LA and Happy Birthday Keanu!

I'm supposed to be asleep, but I don't really feel like sleeping. Maybe I'll do it on the plane. A big part of me not being able to sleep is because I just found out that I will have to pay $25 to check a bag (I'm flying American Airlines but I usually fly Southwest, so I had no idea). I'm not too happy about that.

Then there is the fact that I will be seeing all of my old friends again. I honestly can't sit still and I'm so close to tears. Maranara, Marieski, Wanda, and all my Alkies in Cali! I'm so excited to be back!

Me and the two other girls I'm traveling with are also staying at a really nice hotel. Although I have friends and family in LA, I love staying in hotels. I like to be able to do my own thing in my own little space.

It's 3 am and I'm thisclose to leaving. Yay! LA here I come, again.

Happy Cheer Keanu Up Day!

For those who have no idea how this thing got started read this

Okay now here's my take on the whole thing, it's a joke. I'm almost sure it is. The first time I saw the alleged sad photo I didn't think much of it. Then came the hilarious photoshopped photos of Keanu in random scenarios. My favorite so far is the one with him chillin on D-Day. Classic!

Apparently Keanu's people don't want him to be affiliated with this glorious day. They think it's silly. DUH! No true fan of Keanu's would think that he's depressed. I damn sure don't. It has nothing to do with who he is or how much money he has, I just read the signs. The man is outside, eating a sandwich on a bench, alone. What's wrong with that? Nothing! He's clearly comfortable with himself and enjoys his own company. I don't know about most, but if you don't enjoy your own company then no one will, and that is what's depressing.

Last night I planned on sharing the story of how I ran away from Keanu while he was filming Chain Reaction in Chicago, but I'll save it. There are way too many Keanu stories out there. I'll keep mine to share with close family & friends, or on those occasions when ice needs to be broken.

Happy Cheer Up Keanu Day! Relax, have fun, and enjoy your sandwich.

I Love James Dean!

"Being a good actor isn't easy. Being a man is even harder. I want to be both before I'm done."

And I don't care that he was born and raised in Indiana (I hate that state), I love me some him. Every time Rebel Without A Cause comes on, someone knows to call, text, or email me to let me know that it is coming on. Despite all this love for this movie, I don't own it. I own just about every other movie I grew up watching except for this one (and Splendor In The Grass). I'm afraid that if I were to own it I might not appreciate it like it is supposed to be appreciated. For example I bought Imitation of Life on DVD when I was about 15 years old (well my mom did) and I watched it so much that one day I just grew tired of it.

I hope to never grow tired of Rebel Without A Cause, it helped mold me. It's one of those movies that no matter how old it is the message stays the same. What is the message? Watch it and figure it out for yourself. Because I'm not one to tell the plot of a movie. Just know that it is a classic for a reason.

As far as James Dean, he is and will always be the epitome of cool. I love him. I don't care that I have never met him (or will EVER meet him), I love him. Why? The first time I ever saw Rebel Without A Cause I was a confused 11 year old who had just moved to this a small town, so I instantly identified with the character  of Jim Stark. When you're new you just want to fit in, and you'll do some pretty dumb things to be seen as cool although it took me a while to get the message I ultimately got it. However, after watching the film for the first time I became hooked. I had to know everything James Dean, so much so that I would ask my History and Science teachers questions about Mr. Dean as if they were my own personal encyclopedias. When I was finally able to convince my mother to buy me a computer and register for AOL (lol wow!) I began to research everything James Dean. His words, pictures, glasses, and driving style were everything to me (lol I'm such a speed demon). I was hooked, and to be honest I was kinda embarrassed by it. I kept my infatuation from the world and just dreamed that I would one day be as cool as James Dean. That day has yet to come.

I think that day hasn't come for a lot of people. Over the years I have noticed how each leading man (yes even my KCR) has tried to emulate Dean's style. Some have succeeded and others have failed miserably, but no matter what there is still only one Dean. He's forever young, beautiful, and cool.

UGH! Just Leave It Alone!!!

Apparently there is going to be another Men in Black movie. I swear if Hollywood is serious about making this shit fest in to a trilogy I will never watch The Fresh Prince of Bel Air again!

I honestly feel that this gesture is more about making money, instead of making art; which I believe film making is all about. I know there are some idiots who will be more than willing to support this film with their hard earned money, but if and when they realize that this is a ploy by the government to keep the rich richer and the poor poorer, they'll think twice about it...Yes I actually do believe in conspiracy...

Moving on. I'm just really disappointed. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Will Smith seems to be everywhere now. If it's not him, it's his husband Jada jacking up The Matrix or his child upstaging Keanu Reeves in sci-fi remakes.

I'm so sick and tired of the Smiths...They need to take a break, and I hope Captain Longear (Tommy Lee Jones) realizes he's too old for this sh*t.

Happy Birthday Neo!

I saw The Matrix for the first time on this date 11 years ago. Happy Anniversary!

Thank You!

I just so happen to be a part of a family that just doesn't give a shit. I thought that having a blog and showcasing my ability to write clever wits would be cool, but nope. I was honestly hurt when I found out that my relatives, who I support no matter what dumb idea they throw my way, didn't read my blog. I honestly had a lump in my throat the size of Verne Troyer and felt like crying. My (former) favorite cousin was the very first person to receive the link to this blog and she only read it once, her excuse was she didn't know how to read a blog. I was pissed. What? Girl please! Who doesn't know how to read a blog. My cousin is one of those great honor college students that society believes are better people than I, and for her not to be able to read a blog...What the fuck ever! I would have honestly felt better if she had just told me the truth, that she wasn't interested in reading it. I've been told way worse stuff, but at least she would have been honest. I can respect that.

Moving the fuck on! I realized the other day that I have a grand total of maybe 45 readers. That's fucking great considering the fact I believed I only had a loyal legion of 1. I have gotten emails from a lot of you all, and I want to say thank you for reading. I honestly started this blog as a way to talk about Keanu Reeves without driving my friends crazy, but it some way somehow touched you all and that's cool. I will continue to do everything in the same ways I always have. I try to be as truthful as I can on topics that tickle my fancy; my mother says I'm being mean, but you all think I'm being real. Thanks!

The Matrix = 96%! Suck on that!

After many sleepless nights I was finally able to turn in my Matrix paper on 3-10-2010. I thought that mofo would never be finished but I did it and made this assignment my bitch!

Violence in Popular Culture: The Matrix

One of the most famous songs by The Beatles states, “All you need is love,” this motto is no longer shown in popular films and media, but is instead labeled a cliché and used in “chick flicks” and Barney episodes. However, one film in the late 1990s had a clever way of displaying the message amongst Kung-Fu and gun slinging. The Matrix, a film that follows a man that finds out he’s the one to save the world, has a hidden message of unconditional love. Despite the protagonist being unsure of himself and the people around him, he realizes that he would eventually have to sacrifice himself out of love, much like the story of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Although this message of love is only one of many in this ground-breaking film, it is the last and ending message of the film’s trilogy. The violence in this film over powers the message in the beginning and forces the reader to focus on the obvious battle of real vs. unreal, while the protagonist/hero becomes less violent towards the end. Aristotle’s “Poetics” explains how humans relate to “real” and “unreal” by imitating relatable influences. Most of American culture stems from inherited ideologies and easily accessible pop culture influences. When comparing Aristotle to American culture, The Matrix alludes that the violence that has happened in the movie and in society is a result of the imitation of media’s pop culture influences on the American people.

In the film, the Matrix is explained as a “dream world” created to control human minds while the humans are being used as energy for the Machines who rule the Matrix. Everything that the humans experienced was an artificial life implanted in their minds by the Machines to be perceived as “real”. But what is real? The question asked and answered by the character Morpheus says, ”If you’re talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, taste and see, then “real” is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.” Morpheus’ speech about what is “real” can be translated into what is “cool” or “un-cool” according to America’s pop culture. In America, whatever makes the most money is usually seen as cool. American Culture is heavily influenced by pop culture’s main outlet, Hollywood films. Films are considered a main outlet because of their ability to reach a larger audience that others (radio, television, print, etc.) cannot. For years after its original theatrical release, The Matrix was seen as cool. The slick black leather clothing, special effects, and the philosophies behind The Matrix were repeatedly replicated by the people and the media. However, not everything in The Matrix was meant to be duplicated.

The famous office lobby scene of The Matrix is said to be one of many alleged influences behind the Columbine High School massacre in Littleton, Colorado; an event that happened just twenty-one days after the movie’s release. On April 20, 1999, two Columbine students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, entered their high school and began firing at students and teachers. This event could have been a copycat of the scene in which, Neo, the protagonist, and his partner, Trinity, enter the lobby of an office building and begin shooting and killing security guards and police officers. The Columbine massacre left 13 dead and 24 injured. The instigators of this heinous act, wore long black trench coats, and carried black duffle bags just like the characters Trinity and Neo. However, unlike the characters in the film, Harris and Klebold’s reasons behind killing and injuring their classmates are unknown. That piece of information died with them when they ended the massacre by taking their own lives. If the boys’ influence behind the massacre were inspired by the shoot out scene in The Matrix, then they were painfully misinformed.

In 2002 Keanu Reeves, the actor who plays Neo, describes the trilogy as being about birth, life, and death. In this aspect, the first of the trilogy, The Matrix, would be about birth and will follow the simple layout of boy lost, boy found, boy becomes man, and man saves the world. This layout is also similar to many religious messiahs, but closest to the story of Jesus Christ. According to The Bible, Christ was born the son of God, and His mission on Earth was to save the lives of all mankind. In doing so, Christ tried many endeavors to spread the word of His Father, but failed against the powerful hold the Devil had over the wayward people. The Devil’s power was strong enough to influence a kingdom, whose main focus was to stop Christ’s teachings by killing Him and ending His mission. When Christ knew that the word of His Father was not enough to save mankind, he sacrificed himself for the cause.

Neo, however, was not born the son of God, but created by The Architect, the creator of the Matrix. This slight difference in the story is insignificant to the comparison, but necessary for the film according to the rules of encoding a film, the process in which a film is constructed to develop meaning, which is stated in the book “America on Film: Representing Race, Class, Gender, and Sexuality at the Movies”. This maneuver is to make the message behind the film minimal to avoid becoming “too preachy”. If the message of love and anti-war was forced into reader’s psyche, The Matrix probably would have been too much to handle for certain readers in the audience. When the message is ejected subliminally, then the reader can feel at ease with what he or she just visually ingested.

Neo’s biblical comparisons start in the Matrix with him as Thomas A. Anderson. Anderson is a lonely computer hacker with no real ambition. He does not believe in himself and has no real social life outside of work or his small apartment. His attitude toward life and himself reflect that of Thomas the Doubtful or The Twin, depending on the edition of the Bible. In the gospel of John 13:34-35, Thomas was the only Apostle who did not believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He told the other Apostles that he did not believe them, and he would not believe them until he saw and touched Christ for himself. In The Matrix, Anderson is told of his importance and upcoming danger by Trinity, but does not understand what she means. Later in an attempt to escape the danger Trinity spoke of, he is told by Morpheus, via cell phone, that his only way to escape is to risk his life by climbing out of an office window and go down the side of a building in a device used by window washers. During this moment Anderson mumbles to himself, “What did I do? I’m nobody. I haven’t done anything. I’m going to die”. This self-doubt in Anderson stays with him but ends with the help of Morpheus, who tells him, “Don’t think you are. Believe you are”. With the demise of his self-doubt, Thomas A. Anderson becomes Neo once he believes he is the One to save the world.

Throughout the trilogy, Neo fights The Agents on his mission to save the world. This is no doubt a similarity to good vs. evil. The Agents are the evil and they try to stop the rebels (Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, and the crew of The Nebuchadnezzar), much like the Devil. In one instance, The Agents try to offer a new life to Neo if he joined them and turn over information on Morpheus. Although the Devil did not ask Jesus Christ for information on God, the Devil did offer Christ food and water while He fasted for forty days and forty nights. In the Bible this is the story of how Christ resisted temptation, and temptation was surely resisted by Neo when he turned The Agents’ offer down. However, The Agents’ temptation was not so easy for everyone to resist.

Judas Iscariot takes the form of Cypher, a fellow rebel and crew member on The Nebuchadnezzar, a hovercraft ran by Morpheus. Like Iscariot in the gospel of Matthew 26:14, Cypher turned over information on Neo and Morpheus for a new life as a financially stable man of importance. Shortly after this agreement between the evil and the betrayer, Neo is told of a challenge to save himself or Morpheus, who would eventually give his life to save Neo. The choice given to Neo, like the choice given to Christ, was decided with the help of the heart. According to the Bible, Jesus realized His mission would end with His death, and knew that one of His Apostles would betray Him and contribute to His death. In The Matrix, it is not explained to Neo that Cypher is the one responsible for the eventual death of either him or Morpheus, but it is explained the he would have to make a choice on which one of them will die.

With Morpheus captured, Neo decides to go back into the Matrix to save him. Although he opted to go alone, his partner Trinity makes it clear that he will not go alone and that she will go with him. Trinity not only shares the name of the Trinity (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), she also has mysterious powers that allow her to revive Neo after he is killed by Agent Smith after he saves Morpheus from the Matrix. With the help of Trinity, Neo believes he is stronger and no longer needs guns to fight The Agents or to save the world. In the third installment, The Matrix Revolutions, Neo also believes that without Trinity he will die. However, while traveling to fight Agent Smith, Trinity is injured. Moments before dying, Trinity tells Neo that she believes he can defeat Agent Smith without her and she has always believed in him even when he has continued to doubt himself.

The Matrix Revolutions is about the end of a war, the end of control, and the death of a hero. Neo finally saves the world like it had been predicted two films earlier. Neo uses his specialty in Shaolin Kung Fu martial arts against Agent Smith, but is constantly over powered by him. In the end Neo looks defeated while Agent Smith boasts. It is in this moment where Neo realizes what he must do to stop his rival. Neo stops fighting. The moment Neo stops fighting he becomes more powerful. Agent Smith is defeated by Neo’s ability to go into his body and destroy his program. After beating Agent Smith the world is safe again. However, Neo is no longer seen. It is insinuated that he, like Jesus, can be resurrected, but without his heart, Trinity, he has no reason to live.

In the end Neo saved the world for his love of Trinity, and his dedication to responsibility for the people in the real world and the Matrix. The use of violence in The Matrix trilogy was merely a maneuver to bring in an audience. However, the message of the film is undeniable. The Matrix, with all of its flare, would have been a dense film without the inevitable influences of the Bible, as well as other religious messiahs’ philosophies. The main philosophy of love holds true no matter what time it was spoken, written, sung, or acted upon. Although, it may take a while for America’s pop culture to decode the message of The Matrix, it will undoubtedly know that love is the ultimate message.

Keanu, don't tease me!

After sitting through that long ass ceremony, all I wanted to do was sit back and enjoy the Oscar wrap up. Then ALL OF A SUDDEN! I received an e-mail from one of my loyal legionnaires about a possible Bill and Ted Sequel. Could this be true? Is it real? I mean all the years that have passed, and that God awful Bio-Dome...Is this really happening to me?

After listening to the clip, it's hard to know if Keanu Reeves is joking or not, but he says he's serious. So some time in the near distant future Bill and Ted might grace the big screen one more time. I don't know about you but I'm excited. I hope it works out and it won't be disappointing.

Keanu fans are the business!

The nice webmaster (Anakin McFly) over at Whoa Is Not Me, just saved my ass! I love that website. I'm a little Keanu obsessed if you haven't figured it out by now. After a long day I like to sit back and read Keanu Reeves interviews and articles, they really chill me out. So since he did me a little favor I'm giving him and his website some props and giving the link to my loyal legion of 1. Thank you so much!

If I hear this one more time I'm going to scream!

I'm currently writing a paper on The Matrix and I have listen to this one scene over and over and over and over again! Every time The Architect says Ergo...I'm on the verge of tears. However, I just realized that if I have to suffer, then my loyal legion of 1 should suffer with me.

Happy Birthday Bill and Ted!

I have to wish them a happy birthday in advance since I have two papers due this week. I should be working on them now, but I didn't think I could consider myself a true fan if I didn't take time out of my busy schedule to wish Bill S. Preston Esq. and "Ted" Theodore Logan a happy birthday.

Although the anniversary of their arrival isn't until tomorrow, I'm shedding a little tear today because the movie that adults once put on to shut me the hell up has now turned 21 or 23 depending on how you look at it (the movie was shot in 1987 but released in 1989).

Why does this film hold a special place in my heart? Besides starring that hot piece Keanu Reeves, it also stars that cutie-pa-tootie Alex Winter, a film director I have admired for some time. Anyone remember the movie Freaked? Well that was all him. I love that movie so much I might actually buy it instead of mooching off of youtube.

The dynamic duo, Keanu and Alex, haven't been in a film together since Freaked, but despite dumb ass low blows Keanu hasn't forgotten his original road dawg. In a recent interview Keanu talked about how they were recently out together on Halloween and a man in a smurf costume stopped and said to his buddy, "look it's two fat guys dressed up as Bill and Ted".

Oh how I wish I were the smurf that saw the most excellent sight. I wouldn't have been as rude as jack-ass mcgee, but I would have taken in that moment for what it was: a rare Alex Winter sighting.

Anywho, HBO has been showing Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey just about every day this month. It’s been pretty cool to come home to some dumb comedy after a long day. I laugh and say the lines along with the characters and have a gay old time just me and my tele. Maybe I should get a life…

Okay, back to focusing on the positive, I like Bill and Ted. I think they were good role models for my wayward generation. Despite the misconception that they were dumb, they actually were really smart guys that never tried. I will always remember the phrase “be excellent to each other” because it was sweeter than Barney telling me he loved me every five minutes. So World take this message from Bill and Ted and let's be excellent to each other. Let's party on dudes and may you have a most non-non non-non-non heinous outrageously bodacious day.

It's A Matrix Holiday!

Don't get me wrong I have a life, I just chose not to fuck with it today. I sat in front of my tele and watched The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, and The Matrix Revolutions all day long. For today was a Matrix Holiday! I probably wouldn't have left my room if food wasn't a necessity. I'm pretty sure I'm obsessed, and I don't care. I love The Matrix so much I would marry it. Seriously, where's the priest cause I'm ready to go?

The Matrix came to me when I was 11 years old. I didn't understand a damn thing, but the action was enough to turn me into a fan for life. Now that I understand the movie, and live by its message, I have a hard time staying friends with people don't. Hell, I don't even acknowledge people who don't like the movie. I'm that serious about it. If you hate The Matrix you need to not exist.

And what's up with those people who still haven't seen the movie? It's been well over ten years since the original movie's theatrical release and these lolly-gaggers still haven't followed the white rabbit. WOW! Get with the program people. I'm sure it will be okay.

Some people have actually told me that they wouldn't watch the movie because of Keanu Reeves. Okay now that's just bullshit. Why? Why wouldn't you want to look at that hot piece for three hours? Give me a Keanu movie, a lifetime supply of haagen dazs strawberry ice cream, flamin hot cheetoes, and some smart water and I'm pretty much set for life. However, if I had to watch one Keanu Reeves movie for the rest of my life, I would have to pick Point Break. When in doubt always bet on Swayze.

I will admit that the sequels aren't as good as the original, but they are watchable. They play off of the original, but some people are so one dimensional, and too damn lazy that they don't want to take the time out to understand the vision of The Wachowski Brothers. It took me a moment and I'm hooked on the sequels just as much as the original. And I don't care what Empire Magazine says, there is no way The Matrix Revolutions is the 44th worst movie ever made. So Pete Travelers of Rolling Stone Magazine, you can suck it. In fact you can suck it harder than Mel Gibson on a sugar tit.

I can get into the many details as to why The Matrix and its sequels are the business, but I choose not to right now. I plan on writing it for my literature and film final paper, and displaying my A on this blog. If I can convince my overtly cynical professor that she should change her mind about these movies, then I'm pretty sure I can do anything. I could pretty much change the world if that happens. However, I have to make it happen. So just call me the one.

Two Movies I loved...

And probably won't be nominated for anything. They were independent films but does that mean  no one saw them. I don't know anyone who has, but I'm sure if movie-goers were to give these movies a chance they would seriously love them.

Fish Tank: I saw this movie shortly after I read about it winning the Jury Prize at The Cannes Film Festival. If you don't know what that means just know this, it's pretty much a big deal. I didn't know much about it, all I knew was that hot piece Michael Fassbender was in it, and that was enough for me. If anyone doesn't know who Fassbender is, he's the hot one in 300 that uttered the unforgettable line "Then we shall fight in the shade."

I followed Fassbender's career to the film Hunger, about the 1981 Irish Hunger Strike. His role as Bobby Sands was fantastically disturbing. Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie, there were just some things one should never EVER see on film. EVER!

Fassbender, in Fish Tank, played the role of Conner. He's Mia Williams', played by Katie Jarvis, mother's new boyfriend. Conner comes off as a very nice guy who genuinely wants to become a part of Mia's troubled family. He seems to want to help her however, he's the one that needs help.

I honestly saw this movie being the one would blind side Hollywood. I would have never thought that it would have been Sandra Bullock and her Blind Side that would have everyone captivated. And for the record, I've seen The Blind Side, and Remember The Titans was better.

The second movie that I just knew would get some buzz was The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. I love this movie. It's funny, has a great cast, and has a plot that I can actually follow. The film follows Pippa, the young wife of an aging publisher, who has just moved into a retirement home. After reflecting on her dysfunctional life, Pippa realizes her self-worth.

The movie, written and directed by Rebecca Miller, stars Robin Wright, Blake Lively, Winona Ryder, Keanu Reeves, Alan Arkin, Mark Binder, Maria Bello, Monica Bellucci, and Julianne Moore. The cast alone made me want to see the movie. They are all actors that I love, and I was really excited to see Robin Wright in a role other than Jenny. I know she has been in other movies since Forrest Gump, but she will always be Jenny Curran to me.

Pippa Lee, has gotten some attention, but not enough to get it an Oscar nomination. I'm pretty sure we all know by now that The Oscars are complete bullshit, but it's still fun to watch.

The best movies I've seen in 2009 in a nutshell:
Precious
The Hangover
500 Days of Summer
The Private Lives of Pippa Lee
Inglorious Basterds (also starring Michael Fassbender)
Fish Tank
Avatar
The Princess Frog

Simon Cowell = One Hot Bitch

I love this man. I don't think there has ever been a moment on American Idol that I thought Simon's trippin'. He's so honest. Brutally honest. Each one of Simon's moments of truth is like a hug from Baby Jesus.

Every time I lay eyes on that Johnny Mnemonic inspired haircut my heart beats a little bit faster. I love love love Simon. You are one hot bitch!
