Happy Birthday Bob Dylan

EDIT: I don't think of myself as a deep thinker like Mr. Bob Dylan. I could never come up with what he said. I believe he is talking about people reading too much into things that have no substance at all.
The reason why I like Mr. Bob Dylan so much is because he'll paint a picture and leaves it up to the audience to figure it out.
People thought that he was some kind of prophet intellect when in actuality he was just an average joe with a working brain and the gift of song.
His kind of honesty is rare and lacking in entertainment. Majority of today's talents play roles that were created and not necessarily true to their being. The machine probably would have never thought it was okay for entertainers to act like real people until Mr. Bob Dylan came along. However, unfortunately, the "real" routine turned into folk pretending to be better than everyone else because "they can see what's really going on" when in reality they see nothing at all.

Happy 400th Post!!!

Another 100 posts. I can't believe I've posted 400 posts that people have actually read.

When I started this blog a little over a year ago, I never thought that I would make it to 100 posts let alone 400 posts. This is pretty cool.

I really don't have much to say except thank you to the Loyal Legion.

I truly appreciate it.

How Could I Forget???

All this time I've been whining about how long it's taking season 4 of True Blood to premiere, and I forgot all about the 12th anniversary of the first time I saw The Matrix.

Yes! I'm a dork, and damn proud of it.

If you're reading this and you're a part of my loyal legion, then you should already know about my love of all things Matrix and Keanu. Not only do I love The Matrix, I also love its sequels. I understand all of them, and I can tell you just about every line from all three films. The same goes for my love of Keanu. I've seen just about all of his films. Therefore, I am his stan (slang for huge fan), and if given the choice to only choose one movie to watch for the rest of my life it would be one of his.

As a tribute to this glorious occasion, I will post the link to The Matrix paper I wrote and aced last year.

Yes I'm obsessed, and I don't care who knows it.

One Year Ago Today

Exactly one year ago today, I posted my thoughts on the true bro-mance between Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. I see it as one of the best things I've written, despite all of the random typos.

I still love to watch Magic & Bird when it comes on. These two had a relationship that I could only dream of having. So when the documentary is over, I'm sitting up with my bag of Twizzlers crying my ass off. I don't need Sandra Bullock or Meg Ryan, this shit is my love story.

I feel sorry for this current generation of basketball players that would probably never experience nothing like this. LOL! I know I might sound a little too much like a girl right now, but hear me out: To me, basketball has turned into an individual sport. There is no such thing as a team anymore.

Did anyone watch the recent All-Star game? It was so much "LOOK AT ME" playing going on, that I actually forgot that these dudes were playing on a team. Although there is no "I" in team there are two letters that come together to create the word "ME" which correctly defines the mentality of current players. It's a shame because it's destroying the game.

I'm trying to keep hope alive and remain optimistic towards my current favorite players. I believe they are in it to win for the team, and not for player stats. I know they learned from the masters. Magic & Bird taught them well.

Happy 300th Post!!!

Oh wow!!! I can't believe I have actually posted on this thing 300 times. Well since I hadn't even noticed, it has actually been 303, but I still can't believe it.

I just recently "celebrated" my 1 year anniversary, so I'm not going to do too much "celebrating" now. I just want to thank the loyal legion for their support. I read the emails, and you all are just as crazy as I am. Thank you so much! It means a lot to me.

Well, I guess I'll celebrate 300 posts with 300 Spartans!

thanks again!

Happy Anniversary!!!

I have officially been writing on this blog for a year. YAY!!!
What a journey it has been. I can honestly say that the person who started this blog is exactly the same person who is writing this post. I didn't go into this for change, or to document the life of a socially awkward outcast, but just to have something to do.

This blog has been my baby for the past year. And if this blog was my baby and I its mother, then I must be the Joan Crawford "Mommy Dearest" mother. YAY!!!

Throughout the process of writing about my life I have made my loyal legion laugh, cry, moan, groan, angry, and cringe, but no matter what you all have stuck with me. I really appreciate that, thank you.

Happy Belated Birthday Gilda!

June 28, 1946 – May 20, 1989

While I was recovering from my hangover, I totally forgot to say happy birthday to someone I admire most after my mom. Mrs. Gilda Susan Radner Wilder would have been 64 years old today if she hadn't died on May 20, 1989 at the young age of 42.

Gilda Radner was by far my favorite SNL cast member, and my number one funny lady. I remember being a kid and watching the really old episodes of Saturday Night Live and falling in love with her humor. Who doesn't love Roseanne Roseannadanna, the romantic dancing couple, or Litella AKA the "never-mind" lady? Gilda Radner was one of a kind.

Well Happy Birthday Marilyn

Norma Jeane Mortenson
June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962
"If you're gonna be two-faced at least make one of them pretty."

I really don't like talking about the dead, but others are surprisingly okay with it; especially when it comes to Marilyn Monroe and John F. Kennedy. Apparently there is some gallery that is selling the only photo of JFK, Bobby, and Marilyn together. What is the point of this? I have no idea, but I think it's ironic the gallery is showcasing this treasure on Ms. Monroe's birthday. Whatever! I say let the lady rest in peace. One day maybe she finally will, but not today on her 84th birthday.

HAPPY 100TH POST!

It's my 100th post. I didn't even notice until I looked up and saw the 99 posts link. Damn! I can't believe I've posted 100 times in 3 months. I either manage my time well or have no life outside of school and the internet; I believe in the latter! But whatever, at least I'm doing something safe and not out running the streets and doing hard drugs.............Anyway for my 100th post I couldn't think of what to post. I feel like doing a back flip to celebrate my consistency, but since the readers wouldn't be able to see such an epic event take place, I decided against it. Instead I'll just drop it like it's hot.
